Event numbers don't add information to the search: if you knew the event number you wouldn't be searching for the command. Add an option to remove them from the search to declutter it. Default it to true to preserve the current behaviour.

Clone the repository inside your oh-my-zsh repo:
git clone https://github.com/joshskidmore/zsh-fzf-history-search ${ZSH_CUSTOM:=~/.oh-my-zsh/custom}/plugins/zsh-fzf-history-search
Enable it in your .zshrc by adding it to your plugin list:
plugins=(… zsh-fzf-history-search)
